A Message from the Learning Support Teachers

Dear Parents, Guardians and Children,
We have come to the final week of our school year which, no doubt, for all has been the strangest and most unusual end of any year that we have ever experienced. We can now only hope that the 'curve' remains flattened as we adjust to a new normal.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, as well as your parents, for all your efforts at homeschooling and also for supporting us in our efforts to connect with you through our website and through zoom. We know and appreciate that a lot of valuable learning has happened as a result of your efforts.
Finally, we would like to wish you all a very enjoyable, healthy and safe summer. We will look forward to seeing you all back in school on September 1st and so until then take good care of yourselves.
Mrs O'Reilly, Ms Gilsenan & Ms Brady.

Christmas writing by some of our younger students:

I will put out carrots for Rudolph, and cake and a glass of milk for Santa.
I put my Christmas tree up. I put the star on the Christmas tree.

I like Christmas because I get presents.

I am getting Moshi Monster waggle tags and a foot massager from Santy.
I put up my Christmas tree on the 1st of December.
I am giving Santy a glass of milk.
Santy is good because he gives us presents.

On Christmas Eve I will leave out buns, carrots and milk for Santy and the reindeer.
I am getting Soobies, a fairy and a toy shop for Christmas.
I put up my Christmas tree on Sunday.

Last week I put up my Christmas tree and lots of decorations.
I would like a Dino Transformer from Santy.
Santy has a red hat and coat.

Below are some Halloween poems composed in learning support.
We hope you enjoy reading them.

Happy Halloween
I came to a house on Halloween,
There was a pumpkin at the door.
They gave me just a few sweets,
I shouted "Give me more!"
I saw my brother down the street,
He was dressed up as a witch.
People had given him money,
Now he was very rich.

The Best Halloween
I dressed up as a ghost
And I was very scary.
My brother was a monster,
Very green and very hairy.
My mammy was a witch.
She had a long broomstick.
She flew up into the sky
And came back down real quick.

Scary Halloween
I went to trick-or-treat
To get something nice to eat.
Up and down the streets
I got lots of sweets.
I dressed up like a witch.
I was a funny witch.
I flew on my broomstick
And it was very quick.
